CHS Golf Teams Remain Hot on Tuesday in McMinnville

The red hot CHS Golf teams once again had a dominant performance on Tuesday at the Keith Maxwell Invitational held at the McMinnnville Country Club. The Lady Raiders shot a 147 to win their 4th straight tournament. The Red Raiders finished in 3rd place after shooting a team total on 323.
The Lady Raiders finished 1st out of a field of 6 teams. The sister duo of Savannah Quick and Ashley Gilliam finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the individual competition. Quick fired a 71 while Gilliam carded a 76 to lead the Lady Raiders to a 23 stroke win over Maryville. White County was 3rd at 172.
The Red Raiders finished 3rd out of 10 teams. The familiar nemesis pair of Tullahoma and Cookeville finished 1st and 2nd as the Red Raiders were 12 strokes back of the Wildcats and 3 strokes back of the Cavaliers. Austin Farris was the low scorer for Coffee County as he finished 4th overall with a 76. Samuel Prater shot a 78, John Parigger carded an 81, Reid Lawrence shot an 88 and Josh Perry got around the 18 hole course in 91 strokes.
The golf teams will next be in action on Monday at Willowbrook for a 9 hole match with Tullahoma. That match is set to tee off at 4 PM.
