Derrick Nathan Harr, 26, of Decherd was arrested April 20 after he was indicted by the April term of the Coffee County Grand Jury on rape charges.
This was a four count indictment. He was charged with two counts of statutory rape and two counts of aggravated statutory rape.
The indictment, which was presented to the Coffee County Grand Jury by Manchester Police Investigator Butch Stewart, alleges that Harr had sex with a female who was younger than 18 years old while he was serving as manager of the Manchester Hardees. The indictment alleges that he used his status as manager while she was employed at the restaurant. “He used the position of trust to accomplish” the sexual act with the girl.
The alleged incident allegedly occurred during August 2015 and occurred in Coffee County. The indictments claim that Harr was at “least 10 years older” than the girl at the time of the act.
