Tullahoma Man Arrested after Woman is Attacked

jail handcuffsA Tullahoma man was arrested April 25 for assaulting a Roosevelt Street resident.
Justin Adam Crutchfield, 26, of Cumberland Avenue was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated burglary following the alleged incident.
According to a report by Tullahoma Police Officer Mickey Blanton, Crutchfield broke into the residence and began to strangle the female at the residence. She told the officer that she was awaken with the man on top of her and threatening her life and choking her. He also allegedly struck her several times in the stomach. He then left the residence and according to the officer’s report, the woman had red marks and scratches on her neck. The Coffee County Ambulance Service personnel checked the woman out to make sure she was ok.
After warrants were obtained for Crutchfield, Coffee County Sheriff Capt. Danny Ferrell later found the man and arrested him on the charges. He was booked into the Coffee County Jail under a $35,000 bond. He is to appear in Coffee County General Sessions Court. (Tullahoma News)
