This season has long been considered a rebuilding year for the Westwood Rockets football team. Maybe someone forgot to tell Coach Chad Dyer and his Rockets football team as the Rockets defeated Forrest Middle 24 to 16 in the Cascade Jamboree on Friday night. The Rockets scored on 3 of their 4 offensive drives as Byron Sullivan scored 2 TD’s and Jacob Floyd had the other. Marcus Pendleton added 2 extra points for the Rockets. Westwood opens their regular season on Thursday night as they will host Moore County at Dyer-Bouldin Field. That game is set to kick off at 6:30 PM.
