The Westwood Rockets and Lady Rockets will be hosting a “Teddy Bear Toss” between games of their doubleheader with Moore County on Thursday, December 18th. All fans are asked to bring a NEW Teddy Bear, with the tag still attached, to the game for a free admission to the contest. The Teddy Bears will be tossed at the center circle and the closest to the center will win a Gift basket featuring Westwood sports shirts, a Sonic gift card, Chick-Fil-A prizes, and iTunes gift card and so much more. Thunder Radio will be on hand that night to broadcast the game and the festivities. The Teddy Bears will then be collected and given to the Manchester Fire and Police departments to be used as “comfort bears” for children during times of loss or crisis. Should the winner come from Moore County, then the sports shirts given away will be substituted for Moore County apparel.
