Brittany Williams makes a catch in center on Wednesday night

In a crucial district softball game for Coffee County on Wednesday night they hosted Shelbyville. The Lady Raiders lost to the Eaglettes earlier in the season. Coffee County got 4 runs in the 4th inning and went on to win 5-1. Pitcher Brianna Jones picked up her second win of the week. Coffee County is now 20-11-1 on the year. Brianna added to her state leading strikeout total with 12.
The Lady Raiders will host the Coffee County Classic on Friday and Saturday. The ladies will play at 4pm and 7pm Friday night and Saturday morning at 10am and 11:30am. The single elimination part of the tournament will begin after 1pm. Thunder Radio will carry all Coffee County games.

Wednesday night in high school baseball Coffee County traveled to Winchester to take on Franklin County. The Raiders jumped to an early lead and just kept adding to their scoring running away with a 10-3 District 8-AAA win. The victory secures 3rd place in the standings as Coffee County finishes district play with a 7-5 and 13-13 overall. Stanton Keele knocked in 2 runs to go along with Tyler Cavender, Peyton Meeker and Wyatt Day all adding an RBI each. Meeker was the winning pitcher.
Friday night the Raiders will host Lavergne for Senior Night. Activities begin at 5:45pm and the game at 6pm.

The Coffee Middle baseball team dropped a 12 to 2 decision on Wednesday night to North Franklin in the CTC Tournament at Winchester. North notched a run in the 1st inning before Coffee County charged back and took a 2 to 1 lead in the 3rd. From that point on, it was all Gators as North notched 4 runs in the 3rd inning and never looked back. Coffee County managed only 5 hits on the night as Alontae Taylor had 2 singles and an RBI. With the loss, the Raiders fell into the elimination bracket and will take on Harris Middle on Thursday afternoon at 5 PM in Winchester.

The Coffee Middle soccer season came to an end on Wednesday night at Tullahoma as the Raiders fell by a final score of 3 to 0 to the host Wildcats. Tullahoma got 2 first half goals and notched their final tally in the 57th minute to advance to the 2nd round of the CTC Tournament. The Raiders played inspired defense but could not mount a scoring challenge in the loss.

The Coffee Middle softball team opened play in the CTC Tournament at Tullahoma on Wednesday night taking on the host Wildcats. The Cats came out swinging the bats scoring 9 runs in the top of the 1st inning on 7 hits and 3 Lady Raider errors. The Lady Raiders fought back with 5 runs in the bottom of the first inning but could never close the gap falling by a final score of 12 to 8. Haley Richardson took the loss for Coffee County, but did have a 2 RBI triple in the 1st inning to help her cause. Athena Lusk finished with 2 singles for the Raiders and 2 RBI. With the loss, the Lady Raiders fall into the losers bracket and will play at 5:00 PM on Thursday at East Middle School in an elimination game.
