Titans Open Season With Loss To Pats

A rough first game of the season for the Tennessee Titans got a whole lot worse during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s tilt against the New England Patriots.

Titans quarterback Jake Locker and wide receiver Nate Washington were both hurt on a pass to Washington that originally was called a fumble by Washington and then later overturned to an incomplete pass.

Locker hurt his left shoulder while trying to make a tackle. Washington, meanwhile, had to be helped off the field after taking a shot to the head.

Locker passed for a TD and 239 yards in the 34-13 loss to the Patriots. Tennessee had nothing going in the running game with only 20 yards. Chris Johnson finished with 4 yards.
