sports actionCCMS Volleyball team got a 2 set win over Fayetteville on Thursday afternoon. The Lady Raiders won by set scores of 25-11 and 25-20.  Amanda Mukai led the way for Coffee Middle as she scored 7 aces and 2 kills. Skylar Bell served up 8 aces while Shannah Frame had 3 assists, 1 kill and 2 aces. With the win, Coffee County’s record improved to 9 and 3 on the season. The Lady Raiders will travel to Eagleville on Monday for a 5 PM match with the Eaglettes.

The CHS volleyball team won a pair of matches in Lawrence County on Thursday night. The JV team got a 2 to 1 win while the varsity Lady Raiders dropped the first set before rebounding for the 4 set victory. After losing the first set 20-25, Coffee County found their rhythm sweeping the next 3 games 13, 19 & 12. Coffee County got strong serving from Tyger Fenton, Cameron Davis and Maddie Taylor. Brittney Williams led the red & black in assists while Cursten Vaughn and Sydney Pearson led in kills. Ariel Williams was the team leader in blocks while Fenton and Sara Brown led in digs. With the win, Coffee County is now 3 and 0 in district play and 9 and 5 overall. The Lady Raiders host Franklin County on Tuesday night at 6 PM at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gymnasium.

The Tullahoma Lady Cats soccer team spoiled the Coffee County district opener on Thursday night behind Shannon Reagan’s hat trick. The Cats got 5 first half goals, including the 3 Reagan goals, in the 7 to 0 defeat of Coffee County. The loss evened the Lady Raiders district record at 1 & 1. The Lady Raiders host Shelbyville on Tuesday in an important district match that begins at 7 PM.
