Temple Baptist Basketball Drops Home Game on Friday Night

The Temple Baptist Christian School basketball team welcomed Franklin Road Christian School to the E.C. Bailey Gym on Friday.   Taking on the Minutemen of Murfreesboro, the Eagles came up short in the varsity only contest.  Temple fell by a final score of 59 to 53.

Trailing by 4 at the half, the Eagles rallied to cut the deficit to 1 entering the 4th quarter.   Franklin Road was able to hold off a 4th quarter charge by Temple for the win.  Cody Swayze was the leading scorer for the Eagles as he finished with a game high 40 points.  Alex Gloden added 5 points while Trace Woodard and Mich Gloden each chipped in 3.

The Eagles will next be in action on Monday, February 11th when they travel to Murfreesboro for a rematch with Franklin Road.  That game is set to tip-off at 5 PM.
