Taylor Named All-American

Freshmen normally don’t get an opportunity to play much during their first year of high school football, but one player at Coffee County did play and he played very well.
QB Alontae Taylor began starting in the 3^rd game of the 2014 campaign and rolled up over 1,600 yards rushing, which led the nation in the regular season for freshmen. Taylor was named to play in an all-star game for the best freshmen in the nation but will not be allowed to play because of a TSSAA rule.
Another honor came this week when Taylor was named MaxPreps Freshmen All-American 1^st team. Taylor had 1,676 yards and scored 17 TD’s.
