Red Raiders Host Golf Tournament

The Coffee County Red Raiders hosted the Raider Invitational golf tournament on Wednesday at Willowbrook. 21 teams competed from around the state in what has become one of the premier high school tournaments in Tennessee.
At the end of the day there was a 3-way tie for first between Hendersonville, Cookeville and Hardin County, all shot 300. After a several hole playoff Hendersonville finished 1st, Hardin County 2nd and Cookeville 3rd.
The Coffee County boys shot 312 good for 14 wins and 6 losses. The Raiders were led by Kyle Johnson with a 74. Senior Justin Mooneyham shot his career low with a 77 followed by Garrett Adams came in with an 80 and Matt Johnson shot 81. Coffee County was playing without outstanding Junior Andy Stout who was suffering from a medical condition.
Eli Clutter led the junior varsity with a career low 83.
Coffee Co. is now 53-25 on the year.
Next up for the boys and girls teams will be a tournament in McMinnville on Tuesday.
