Coffee County JV Football defeated Lincoln County Monday night by a final of 14 to 6.
The 6th grade Lady Raider basketball team opened their first ever season in the new Coffee County Middle School gym with a convincing 50 to 16 win over Morrison on Monday night. The Lady Raider defense allowed Morrison only 4 field goals on the night. Leading the scoring for the Coffee County was Bella Vinson who had 17 1st quarter points and finished with 28 points total. Baylee Haithcock added 12 points for the Lady Raiders. The Red Raiders fell by a final score of 17 to 13. Trenton Scrivnor led Coffee County with 4 points while Tanner Kistler added a 3 point goal.
Westwood traveled to Murfreesboro to take on Middle Tennessee Christian on Monday night. The girls finished the game with a furious 15 point 4th quarter before falling 35 to 31. Morgan Jones led the Lady Rockets in scoring with 14 points, including 9 in the 4th quarter. Ashley Starks had 4 points in the fourth quarter to finish with 13 points. The boys fought hard but came up short in a 47 to 34 defeat. Marcus Pendleton had 13 points while Jake Hollandsworth and Augie Burch each added 7 points. The Rockets travel to Fayetteville on Thursday night. The girl’s game will begin at 6:00 PM.
