Coffee Middle and Westwood traveled to Tullahoma’s Lakewood Country Club for a boys golf match with Tullahoma on Tuesday afternoon. The host Cats had 4 golfers to break 50 for the nine hole match to win 181 to 207 over Coffee Middle. Austin Farris shot the low round for the Raiders with a 45 while Josh Perry carded a 50 and Samuel Prater got around in 54. For Westwood, Chance Lowery carded a 59 while Jacob Garms finished with a 62. Westwood and Coffee Middle will travel to Shelbyville on Thursday to take on Harris and Liberty in a 4 way match. That match will be held at the Shelbyville Country Club beginning at 3:30.
The CHS girls track team competed in the Section 2 Sub-Sectional on Tuesday attempting to qualify competitors for the Sectional meet. On the night, Haley Banks advanced to the sectional meet in both the 100M hurdles and the shot put. Lexee Miller qualified in the Shot Put and Discus Throw and Karson Young qualified in the triple jump and the high jump. These 3 Lady Raiders will compete in the sectional meet, coming up on May 13th at Riverdale as they will attempt to qualify for the state track meet. The boys will hold their sub-sectional on Thursday afternoon.
