Former Motlow College player and assistant coach Dominic Tharpe has been named the new head coach of the Lady Bucks’ basketball team, according to Tori Raby-Gentry, athletic director at the College. The Manchester 11 & 12 year All Star team battled Tullahoma to a 15 to 15 tie on Tuesday night at Fred Deadman Park in their 2nd scrimmage of the summer. Jordan Darden and Jacob Saunders were teammates at Cheatham County High School the last three years and enjoyed tremendous success, including leading their team to an undefeated regular season, three straight district titles and two consecutive trips to the sectional round of the state playoffs. The 14U Coffee County Red Raider summer baseball team competed in the Tennessee BPA State Baseball Tournament this weekend held in Murfreesboro and Franklin.
