Lady Raider Soccer Play Day is Saturday
The Coffee County High School Lady Raider soccer team will host the annual preseason play day on Saturday at the Raider Soccer Field and Carden-Jarrell Field, both behind the Raider Academy. Both the Lady Raider varsity and junior varsity teams will be in action beginning at 9 AM. The varsity will play 3 games at Carden-Jarrell Field as they take on Warren County at 9 AM, Franklin County at 10:20 AM and Wilson Central at 2:20 PM. Titans Open Training Camp Friday
The Titans are scheduled to begin training camp this week at Saint Thomas Sports Park in Nashville. Rookies and veterans report to camp on Thursday, July 30, and will practice for the first time the next day under the direction of head coach Ken Whisenhunt. Fans of the Titans are invited to watch nine total training camp practices free of charge, beginning with the July 31 workout at 9:20 a.m. CDT. CHS Golf Teams Open Season with Wins
The Coffee County CHS golf teams got their season off in winning fashion on Tuesday as they swept their match play in Fayetteville. The boys got a 15 stroke win over second place Fayetteville while Lincoln County came in a distant 3rd. Coffee County bested the Tigers 162 to 177 led by John Parriger and Austin Farris who each shot a 38 over the 9 hole match. The CHS golf teams open the regular season on Tuesday with a pair of matches in Fayetteville. The Raiders and Lady Raiders will look to build off their performance from last Thursday as they open the season against district rival Lincoln County. The Lady Raiders finished in 2nd place at the Lakewood Invitational preseason tournament on Thursday led by Savannah Quick.
