Raiders Drop Tullahoma on Tuesday Night to Advance in District Tournament
A 25 point outburst in the 4th quarter helped Coffee County stave off elimination in the play-in game of the District 8AAA basketball tournament on Tuesday night as the Red Raiders dropped Tullahoma 56 to 35. CHS Spring Sports Opened Practice Sessions on Monday
“…57…58…59…It’s midnight!” screamed assistant softball coach Jackie Wilder as another spring sports season kicked off at Coffee County Central High School early Monday morning at Terry Floyd Field. CHS Wrestler Advances to State Tournament
Coffee County senior wrestler Joshua Tobitt qualified for the TSSAA State Individual wrestling tournament with a 3rd place finish in this weekend’s Region 5AAA wrestling tournament held at Cookeville. Tobitt, wrestling at 182 pounds, is the first Coffee County wrestler to qualify for the state tournament since Zach Lusk(138) in 2013. Tobitt was 4 and 1 on the tournament to improve to 36 and 8 on the season and earn 20 team points for the Raiders. Raiders Fall in Regular Season Finales in McMinnville on Saturday
A pair of 2nd half rallies fell short on Saturday afternoon in McMinnville as both Coffee County basketball teams closed out the regular season with losses to Warren County. Coffee County fell 55 to 37 in the girls game, while the Red Raiders dropped a 60 to 45 decision. Beachboard Sets 2 New Personal Bests in State Swim Meet
Jack Beachboard shaved a full 2.2 seconds off his personal best time in the 200M Individual Medley on Friday morning in the preliminary heat of the Tennessee Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association State Championships being held at the Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville. The Coffee County freshman qualified with a time of 2:11.99 and cut through the water at 2:09.79 on Friday to capture a 43rd place finish overall.
