With the regular season approaching next week for some local prep teams, the Coffee County CHS Lady Raider soccer team and the Coffee County Middle School volleyball team will participate in a pair of scrimmage playdays on Saturday. The Coffee County Youth Bass Club held their final night fishing event on Saturday evening on Tims Ford Lake. The tournament used a “Big Fish” format where the largest bass in the boat was the only fish weighed. The tournament participants launched their boats at Devil’s Step Boat Ramp and the boats were released at 6 PM. Fishing continued until the 1 AM weigh-in.
