CCMS Soccer Falls to Warren County

The Coffee County Middle School soccer team held the heavily favored Warren County Middle School Pioneers scoreless for the first 17 minutes before falling 5 to 0 on Thursday in a conference match. CHS Baseball Camp and Alumni Game Postponed for Saturday

The Coffee County Central High School baseball team’s clinic and youth camp scheduled for Saturday at Powers Field has been postponed until March 18th due to the threat of wet field conditions.   The clinic is for kids between the ages of 8 to 15 and each camper will receive age appropriate hands on instruction in all aspects of the game.  The clinic will be on Powers Field and in the Crethan Hansert Hitting Facility at Coffee County Central High School.  The camp will run from 9:30 AM to 1 PM. Coffee County Swim Teams Hold Awards Banquet

The Coffee County Swim teams held their Awards Banquet recently celebrating the most successful year to date for the program. Head coach Lana Ray and assistant coach Mike Ray recognized the entire middle school and high school team for their efforts as a team. Additionally, the team recognized letterman that would have either been on this team for two years or achieved a region time in their first year or are seniors and had not yet been awarded a letter. CHS Softball Benefit Jamboree Is Thursday

In one of the final tune-ups before the regular season begins, the Coffee County Central High School softball team will be hosting a softball jamboree on March 9th.  Originally scheduled for Tuesday night, the games have been moved to Thursday night.  Ten high school softball teams will take part in the one night jamboree with the games held at Terry Floyd Field at CHS and at Tullahoma’s home field at East Middle School.   More importantly, the money raised will go to benefit retired Coffee County softball coach Terry Floyd. For the 2nd consecutive Tuesday, Mother Nature was the big winner in prep sports as all of the scheduled events were rained out. The Coffee County Middle School baseball and softball teams were set to travel to McMinnville to take on Warren County.  Both teams have rescheduled the games for Thursday night at 5 PM.  The CCMS softball team had a non-conference game with Westwood scheduled for Thursday night.  That game has been postponed and both coaches are looking to find a makeup date. Coffee County Youth Anglers Fare Well at TN BASS Trail Tournament

The Coffee County Youth Bass Club sent 2 boats with 4 team members to the Tennessee Bass Nation Trail event at Center Hill Lake on Saturday.  Of the 108 boats in the competition, Coffee County placed both of their boats in the top 46 boats in the event. The boat of Issac Turner and Cam Rutledge was the top finisher for Coffee County as they finished in 6th place with a total catch of 10.52 pounds.  That finish vaulted them to 51st place in the overall state standings. Preds Fall to Ducks in Shootout

Patrick Eaves scored the winner in the shootout, and the Nashville Predators fell by a 4-3 final to the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night at Honda Center.
