Power Play Helps Kings to Top Preds in Overtime

Jarome Iginla scored twice, including the winner in overtime, and the Nashville Predators fell 3-2 to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night at Staples Center. CHS Softball Edges DeKalb County in Jamboree Win

A standing room only crowd saw the Coffee County CHS Lady Raider softball team host the Terry Floyd Jamboree on Thursday night at Terry Floyd Field.  The Lady Raiders finished the game with 1 hit, but it proved to lead to the winning run in a 2 to 1 victory.  The win by the Lady Raiders highlighted a tremendous event designed to raise money for Terry Floyd as he awaits an organ transplant.  The event raised more than $6,500 for Coach Floyd. Lady Raider Softball Blasts Warren County

Holding a 1 to 0 lead heading to the 4th inning, the Coffee County Middle School softball team exploded for 8 runs in the final 3 innings to defeat Warren County 9 to 2.  The Lady Raiders pounded out 14 hits in the conference win to run their record to 4 and 0 on the season.  The win gives the Lady Raiders a season sweep over the Lady Pioneers. CHS Soccer Drops Webb in Thursday Scrimmage

The Coffee County Central High School soccer team competed in their final scrimmage of the spring on Thursday as they traveled to Bell Buckle to take on Webb.  The Raiders raced out to 3 to 0 halftime lead before claiming a 5 to 1 win. Leo Botello had a goal in both halves for Coffee County and Breyer Taylor added a goal and an assist.  Coffee County also got goals from Cameron Kistler and Chase Harper in the dominant scrimmage victory. CCMS Baseball Falls to Warren County

A two out rally in the top of the 1st inning loaded the bases and pushed in a run for the Coffee County Middle School baseball team.  Warren County was able to plate single runs in the 3rd, 5th and 6th innings to drop the Red Raiders 3 to 1 on Wednesday night. Westwood Baseball Drops Road Contest to Community

The Westwood Middle School baseball team traveled to Unionville on Thursday night for their first road game of the season as the Rockets took on Community.  A shaky 2nd inning saw Community plate 7 runs after 5 Westwood errors.  A late Rocket rally came up short in an 11 to 5 loss.
