Coming off a week where the Red Raiders clinched a regular season district title, the Central High School soccer team began a week of tune up matches.  On Monday night, Coffee County traveled to Fayetteville to take on the Tigers in a non-district friendly.  The Red Raiders captured a 2 to 1 win and in the process saw a career scoring record fall. The Coffee County CHS softball team kicked off a crucial week of district play on Monday night traveling to take on Lawrence County.  The 2 teams met in the first week of the season with the Lady Raiders taking a thrilling 1 to 0 decision.  On Monday night, Lawrence County jumped on the Lady Raiders in the first inning on their way to an 8 to 0 defeat of Coffee County. After taking off for 17 days, the Westwood tennis teams played their 2nd match in 4 days on Monday as they welcomed St Andrews-Sewanee to the Raider Academy Courts.  The pair of Westwood teams each captured a victory on the windswept afternoon.  The Rockets claimed a 6 to 3 win while the Lady Rockets won 7 to 1. The middle school golf teams of Coffee County and Westwood welcomed Fayetteville and Tullahoma to Willowbrook on Monday afternoon.  Under windy conditions, Coffee County squared off against Fayetteville and Westwood took on Tullahoma under the Junior PGA 2 team scramble format. Michael Conforto homered and drove in three runs, and the Mets scored five times in the fourth inning off Julio Teheran before holding out to beat the Atlanta Braves 7-5 on Monday night. On the day the Mets placed ace Noah Syndergaard on the 10-day DL with a partial tear of his right lat muscle, Robert Gsellman (1-2) almost blew an early 6-1 lead. Matt McBride hit a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the 12th inning to give the Nashville Sounds a dramatic 6-4 win over the New Orleans Baby Cakes in front of 8,262 fans at First Tennessee Park Monday afternoon. CHS Tennis Claims District Doubles Title

The best season for Red Raider tennis thus far, added a doubles district title to their resume on Saturday.  The doubles team of Grey Riddle and Reid Lawrence marched through the doubles bracket to claim a district title.  Joseph Sadler finished as a runner up in singles play.  Kara Roper and Shlip Patel fell in the semifinals.
