The Lady Raider basketball team completed a team camp at Lebanon on Tuesday.  Coffee County got a win and a loss on the day as they defeated Gallatin before falling to Portland.  The Lady Raiders ended the 2 day camp with a record of 3 and 1. The Iowa Cubs sent 12 to the plate in a six-run seventh inning en route to an 8-4 win over the Nashville Sounds in front of 8,771 fans at First Tennessee Park Tuesday night. Tyler Flowers smacked a go-ahead three-run home run off Matt Albers in the ninth inning to power the Braves to an 11-10 win over the Nationals on Monday night at Nationals Park. It was Flowers’ fourth home run of the season, and the Braves’ fifth blast of the night. Coffee County rising junior Ashley Gilliam once again needed a strong finish to win the Tennessean/Metro Parks Schooldays Golf Tournament on Thursday.  The win by Gilliam, a Mississippi State commitment, marked her second straight championship in the 93rd annual tournament. The Schooldays is the state’s longest continuous golf tournament and the most prestigious junior amateur tournament in Tennessee.
