The Omaha Storm Chasers scored a run in the 13th inning to edge the Nashville Sounds, 3-2, at First Tennessee Park Monday night. The four-hour, 14-minute marathon came to an end when the Storm Chasers put together a rally after both teams were held off the scoreboard since the sixth inning. A packed house at Carden-Jarrell Field on Friday night witnessed a 4 quarter war in the 92nd meeting between Coffee County and Tullahoma. After Coffee took a 28 to 7 lead into the halftime break, Tullahoma rallied in the second half to grab the 42 to 41 win over the Red Raiders. The Westwood cross country team opened the 2017 season on the road at Unionville on Tuesday. Both Westwood teams captured team championships in the meet hosted by Community. Manchester Youth Football Opens Season in Shelbyville
Saturday, August 26th the Manchester Youth Football League season officially began when our Manchester Raiders traveled to the Eagles Nest in Shelbyville where the Eagles hosted their season/home opener. The Pee Wee Raiders stared the day of with a 35-13 win over the Eagles. Defensively, the Raiders had players all over the field making tackles all day, #13 Nathan Bogart and Christian Hazelwood helped the team with at least 12 tackles between the two. The Titans showed some positive signs on Sunday against the Bears. They also showed they still have plenty of work to do before the regular season opener.
