After fighting through a physical battle with Columbia on Saturday night at home, the Lady Raider soccer team of CHS traveled to Columbia on Monday night for a rematch following Saturday’s 4 to 4 draw with the Lady Lions.  In another hotly contested game, it was an Emilee Roberson goal in the second half that proved to be the deciding point as Coffee County won 3 to 2.  The win improves the Lady Raiders record in the district to 3-0-1 and moves them into first place in the district standings. CHS Volleyball Sweeps Riverdale on Monday

The Coffee County CHS volleyball team welcomed District 7 power Riverdale to the Joe Frank Patch Gym on Monday.  Keeping with Coach Andrew Taylor’s philosophy to play the best folks possible to get better, the Lady Raiders stunned the Lady Warriors in 3 sets to grab the huge non-district win.  Coffee County won by set scores of 25 to 17, 27 to 25 and 25 to 22. Westwood Soccer Crushes Liberty for First Win of the Year

The Westwood soccer team traveled to Shelbyville on Monday to tangle with Liberty.  The match was originally scheduled for last Tuesday but had to be moved due to inclement weather.  The Lady Rockets continued their offensive revival they started last week as they captured the 9 to 0 win in the conference tilt. Red Raiders Get Huge Homecoming Win

The Red Raider football team welcomed Warren County to Carden-Jarrell Field on Friday night in a renewal on the Highway 55 rivalry.  Needing to control the ball and the clock, the Red Raiders employed some wrinkles in their lineup against the Pioneers.  Those changes and 3 touchdowns in the 2nd quarter lifted the Red Raiders to a 28 to 14 homecoming win over the Pioneers. Temple Baptist Christian School Volleyball Wins Lady Eagle Invitational

The Temple Baptist Christian School varsity and junior varsity soared through Friday’s 6th Annual Lady Eagles Invitational Classic to capture the tournament championship in their home tournament.  To make the feat more spectacular, neither Lady Eagles team dropped a game on Friday.   The junior varsity team(middle school level) defeated Madison Baptist Academy from Madison, AL in the finals.  The varsity team(high school level) defeated South Haven Christian School of Springfield, TN in the finals. CHS Volleyball Gets 3rd Place Finish at Southern Slam

A 3 and 3 record and a semifinal finish capped off a long Saturday for the Coffee County Central volleyball team.  Hosting 14 teams from as far away as McEwen and Chattanooga, Coffee County battled to a 2 and 2 record in pool play with losses to Stewarts Creek and Chattanooga Christian. by Darryn Strickland Last Saturday September 16, the Red Raiders took on the Moore County Blue Raiders in the first home game of the season. Each team did a fantastic job, and played hard during the games. Unfortunately, the peewee division did not play because Moore County does not have a team in that division. The Div. 1 game was won by the Red Raiders with the score of 25-12. Gavin Smith led the team with 123 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns.
