The Red Raider golf team opens play on Tuesday morning in the TSSAA state golf tournament at Willowbrook. Coffee County’s 5 golfers will tee off beginning at 9 AM at the 1st tee in the top foursome. Following Friday’s District 8AAA coaches’ meeting, it was confirmed that the Coffee County soccer team won the regular season district title. Coffee County and Lincoln County tied with the best overall records at 6 wins, 1 loss and 1 tie. The Lady Raiders earned the district title by virtue of aggregate goals. Motlow Soccer to Host Gordon State in Shelbyville, Raise Funds for Multi-County Cancer Support Network
The Motlow State Lady Bucks will host Gordon State (GA) College for a soccer match on Saturday, Oct. 7, at Shelbyville Central High School in Shelbyville. Admission is $5 per person, with half the admission proceeds to be donated to the Multi-County Cancer Support Network. The Red Raider football team hit the road on Friday night to take on the #1 team in the state, Oakland. Facing their toughest competition of the year, the CHS volleyball team captured a runner-up finish of the bronze division in the Middle Tennessee Classic Tournament in Franklin this weekend. Coffee County finished pool play with a win over Lausanne while dropping matches to Wilson Central, Hazel Green, Al and St. Cecilia.
