Looking to keep their perfect seasons alive on Monday night, the Coffee County Central High School basketball teams welcomed Huntland to the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym. The Coffee County Middle School basketball teams grabbed a conference sweep on Monday night as they took down the visiting Trojans from South. The Lady Raiders won 54 to 26. The Temple Baptist Christian School varsity and junior varsity teams hit the road to Murfreesboro on Monday night for a boys’ basketball doubleheader. Taking on Franklin Road Christian, the JV Eagles dropped a 53 to 26 contest. The varsity Eagles lost a heart-breaker 57 to 51. Opening their district schedule at home on Friday night, the Coffee County basketball teams played host to Lawrence County in a pair of hotly contested contests. The Lady Raiders broke a 17 game losing streak against the Lady Cats in a 60 to 48 win. The Red Raiders got a huge defensive stop in the final seconds to prevail 52 to 51 over Lawrence County. The Coffee County CHS wrestling team traveled to Mt. Juliet on Saturday for their first Dual’s tournament of the season. After breaking for the Thanksgiving holiday, the Coffee County Youth Basketball League was back in action on Saturday at CHS. With Deerfield having the week-end off, a slate of three girls and 3 boys games filled the schedule.
