Juuse Saros stopped all 43 shots he faced and the Nashville Predators defeated the Vegas Golden Knights by a 1-0 final on Tuesday night at Bridgestone Arena. Lady Bucks Softball Schedule Features First Month on the Road
If you want to see the Motlow Lady Bucks play softball early this season you are going to have to travel, as the Lady Bucks will spend the first month of the 2018 campaign on the road. Practice officially began Jan. 10 for the Lady Bucks under third-year Head Coach Janice Morey. The season opens Tuesday, Feb. 6, with a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Northeast Mississippi in Booneville. The Coffee County CHS basketball teams hit the road on Monday night to Shelbyville, moving up Tuesday’s scheduled game to try to avoid bad weather. Playing before a sparse crowd at Shelbyville, the Raiders and Lady Raiders earned a split against their district rivals. The Titans have parted ways with head coach Mike Mularkey after the two parties couldn’t come to an agreement over the future. The Coffee County CHS wrestling team captured 6 medals on Saturday in Sewanee at the Mountaintop Invitational Tournament. Nine Raider grapplers were in action in the individual tournament as they accumulated 81 points which was good enough for 6th place in the team standings. Evan Jaynes, wrestling at 145 pounds, was the top finisher for the Raiders as he captured the championship with a 3 and 0 record on the day.
