Forced to make up Thursday’s conference games with North Franklin, the Coffee County Middle School basketball teams tangled with the Gators and Lady Gators in a pair of home and home matches on Monday night. Celebrating Senior Night on Monday night, the Coffee County Raider Wrestling team welcomed Eagleville and Smyrna to “The Dojo” at the Coffee County Raider Academy for a 3 way duals match. Celebrating the careers of seniors Andrew Lawson and Alicean Stottlemyer, Coffee County got a split on the night. Opening up with Eagleville, the Raiders won 39 to 36. Playing a rare afternoon district game, Coffee County traveled to Lawrenceburg on Friday to take on Lawrence County. With the girls’ game tipping off at 4 PM, a small crowd was on hand to watch Coffee County fight to a split of the district doubleheader. The Temple Baptist Christian School Eagles traveled to Cleveland on Friday afternoon for a JV/varsity doubleheader with Shenandoah Baptist Academy. The junior varsity team fell 29 to 15. The Coffee County Youth Basketball League opened up their postseason tournament on Saturday at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym. The quarterfinal round consisted of 3 boys and 3 girls’ games.
