Hartman Scores, Rinne Posts Shutout as Preds Win Record Ninth Straight

Everyone likes a winner. Ryan Hartman broke a scoreless tie and Pekka Rinne recorded his seventh shutout of the season as the Nashville Predators defeated the Dallas Stars, 2-0. Tuesday night’s victory at Bridgestone Arena is Nashville’s ninth straight, setting a franchise record for consecutive wins. Claybusters Claim More Titles on Saturday

It was a clean sweep for the Coffee County Claybusters on Saturday at Big Springs.  Competing in 3 divisions, with 5 squads, the Claybusters captured all 4 division titles with some individual honors to go along with it.  The shoot was held as part of the American Trapshooting Association AIM program. The Westwood baseball team welcomed Cornersville to Looney Riddle Field on Monday for their first conference game of the year.  Scoring in 5 of the 6 innings, Westwood ran their record to 2 and 0 on the season.  The Rockets got their 2nd straight mercy rule win as they dropped the Bulldogs 11 to 0. The Lady Raider softball team of Coffee County Middle School traveled to Warren County on Monday to open the 2 game series with Warren County.   The Lady Raiders held off a late Lady Pioneer rally to run their conference record to 3 and 0.  Coffee Middle won by a final score of 7 to 4. The Coffee County Middle School baseball team traveled to McMinnville on Monday for a conference game with Warren County.  Warren County rallied to tie the game in the 7th to send the game to extra innings.  The Pioneers pushed across the winning run in the 9th inning to capture the 6 to 5 win. The Red Raider soccer team of Coffee County Middle School traveled to McMinnville on Monday to tangle with conference powerhouse Warren County.   A strong second half saw the Pioneers pull away for the conference win as Warren County captured the 7 to 1 win.
