The Westwood Middle School baseball team welcomed Community to Looney Riddle Field on Thursday night.  Battling the cold temperatures, the Rockets needed to get hot in the 7th inning to force the game into extra innings.  Westwood battled to a 4 to 3 win in 8 innings. The Coffee County Middle School soccer team hit the road on Thursday for a conference match with South Franklin.  Looking to get their first conference win of the year, the Raiders fell in an early hole.  Coffee Middle rallied in the 2nd half to grab the 3 to 2 win. The Westwood softball team opened their 2018 season in Fayetteville on Thursday night taking on Riverside Christian.  In a game that was originally postponed due flooding at the Fayetteville Park, the Lady Rockets flooded the scoreboard.  Westwood dropped Riverside 23 to 0 in a 3 inning, mercy-rule shortened contest. The Coffee County Middle School baseball team hit the road on Thursday for a non-conference game in Fayetteville.  Taking on a talented Lincoln County squad in the first of a 2 game series, the Raider bats struggled.  Lincoln County dropped Coffee County by a final score of 7 to 3. Nashville’s top line combined for six points as the Predators defeated the Anaheim Ducks by a 4-2 final on Thursday night at Bridgestone Arena.
