The Westwood baseball season came to an end on Monday in the Duck River Valley Conference baseball tournament at Liberty. A short-handed Rocket squad put up a valiant fight but could not claim the upset falling to Liberty 7 to 2. Sounds Routed by Sky Sox in Series Opener
The Nashville Sounds were trounced 17-3 by the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in Monday night’s series opener. The Sky Sox scored 14 runs in the first three innings and coasted the rest of the way to the victory. Dustin Fowler stayed hot for the Sounds, going 4-for-5 on the night for his team-leading 10th multi-hit game of the season and second straight game with at least three hits. CHS Soccer Rolls on Senior Night
Celebrating Senior Night on Friday, the Coffee County Red Raider soccer teamed scored early and often as they mauled Fayetteville. Celebrating the careers of 7 seniors, the Red Raiders made short work of the Tigers. Coffee County cruised to the 8 to 0 win. Two wins and two losses over the weekend gave the Coffee County Middle School baseball team a 2nd place finish in the CTC baseball tournament this weekend. The Red Raiders got wins over North Franklin and Harris while losing a pair of games, including the tournament finals, to Tullahoma. A marathon weekend saw the Coffee County Middle School softball team claim a 3rd place finish in the CTC softball tournament. Entering the tournament as the host team and the #3 seed, it was a pair of losses to 2nd seeded Warren County that ended the year for the Lady Raiders.
