Lady Raider Basketball Struggles at MTSU Camp on Monday

The Coffee County Central High School Lady Raider basketball team opened play on Monday in the MTSU team camp.  The varsity and junior varsity Lady Raiders each played 2 games while the freshmen team had one game. Sounds Drop Third Straight to Isotopes

After combining for 45 runs on 58 hits in the first two games of the series, the Nashville Sounds and Albuquerque Isotopes came back to earth Monday night as the Isotopes edged the Sounds 3-2. The two ball clubs mustered just five runs on 15 hits. Nashville’s bullpen was asked to pitch 7 2/3 innings after the game began with a bit of controversy. Coffee County Baseball Goes 1 and 1 on Friday in Crethan Hansert Tournament

The Coffee County Red Raider 17U baseball team finished up play on Friday in the 14th annual Crethan Hansert Memorial Baseball Tournament.  The Red Raiders finished the day with a win and a loss.  Coffee County finished the tournament with a record of 2 and 2. CHS Volleyball Team to Host Kid’s Camp This Week

The Coffee County Lady Raider volleyball team will be hosting the 3 day Lady Raider Volleyball Kid’s Camp beginning on Monday.  The camp is open to children in elementary and middle school interested in learning more about volleyball and improving their skills.  The camp will run from noon to 3 PM on Monday through Wednesday at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym. The Nashville Sounds pitching staff scrounged together nine innings with a depleted bullpen and fell to the Albuquerque Isotopes 17-12 Sunday night. The offense gave the Sounds a chance by plating 12 runs, but the pitching staff matched a season-high by yielding 17 runs on the night.
