The Nashville Sounds came from behind in the ninth inning to defeat the Oklahoma City Dodgers 10-9 and complete the four-game sweep. Beau Taylor’s four-RBI effort spurred the comeback win for the Sounds as the two teams combined for 19 runs on 28 hits and five lead changes. Motlow’s Janna Lewis named NJCAA All-Star

Motlow State Community College basketball star Janna Lewis has been selected as one of only 40 student-athletes in the nation to participate in the 10th Annual National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-Star weekend, beginning July 26 in Atlanta. Lewis, a rising sophomore from Butler High School in Louisville, was named the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) Freshman of the Year following her outstanding 2017-18 season at Motlow, where she averaged 16.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists for the Lady Bucks. CHS Tennis Tryouts Scheduled for July 17th and 19th

First year CHS tennis coach Josh Inzer has announced the tryout dates for the 2019 Red Raider and Lady Raider tennis teams.  Boys’ tryouts will be July 17 from 5:00-7:00 PM and the Girls’ tryouts will be July 19 from 5:00-7:00 PM.  Both tryouts will be held at the Raider Tennis Courts behind the Raider Academy.   The makeup date for anyone who cannot be present on the 17th or 19th will be held on July 24th from 5:00-7:00 PM behind the Raider Academy. The Nashville Sounds notched a pair of one-run wins to sweep a doubleheader at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark Wednesday night.
