The Coffee County CHS Lady Raider volleyball team returned to Eagleville on Thursday for the Lady Eagles Team Camp.  Both the Lady Raiders and JV Lady Raiders were in action in Day #2 of the 3 day team camp. The Coffee County Sheriff’s Department would like to invite everyone to its 20th Annual Fishing Tournament to benefit needy children of Coffee County at Christmas. The event is Saturday Sept. 22, 2018 from 7:00 a.m. till Noon at the Normandy Lake, Barton Springs Boat Ramp. Entry fee is $10. Sheriff Steve Graves says last year’s tournament was a huge success and he’s hoping that more people come out and do some fishing. Dr. Michael Torrence, president of Motlow State Community College, announced today that longtime Motlow leader Scott Shasteen will be assuming a new role in External Affairs and Workforce Innovation. Shasteen has served Motlow for almost 23 years in several capacities, most recently as its Athletic Director. The bats went quiet for the Nashville Sounds as they fell to the Omaha Storm Chasers 2-0 Wednesday night in front of 7,914 fans at First Tennessee Park. Nashville’s Chris Bassitt and Omaha’s Jake Kalish went toe-to-toe on the mound, each looking sharp in their seven innings of work.
