The Nashville Sounds came from behind to topple the Salt Lake Bees 9-5 Sunday night at Smith’s Ballpark. The win snapped a season-long four-game losing streak for the Sounds. The Nashville Sounds built an early 3-0 lead but saw their losing streak reach four games with an 11-6 loss to the Salt Lake Bees at Smith’s Ballpark on Saturday night. The Coffee County CHS golf team opened the 2018 season in the Murfreesboro Invitational on Thursday at Champions Run.  Four Red Raider golfers shot 5 over par 77 or better as the Red Raiders edged Nolensville 305 to 306 to claim the team title out of a field of 10 teams.  The win pushed Coach Mike Ray over the 800 win plateau in his golf coaching career at CHS. The Coffee County Lady Raider volleyball team closed out their preseason schedule on Thursday as they played host to 11 other teams for their annual scrimmage play day.  The Coffee County varsity and JV each got in 3 games as each finished 2 and 1. The Coffee County CHS baseball team has updated the tryout dates for the 2019 Red Raider baseball team.  Students entering the 9th grade this fall will tryout on Monday.  Tryouts will be held at Powers Field from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.  Student athletes who will be in grades 10th thru 12th grade will tryout on Tuesday afternoon at Powers Field.  The tryouts will be from 4 PM to 7 PM.
