Hitting the road for their longest road trip of the year on Tuesday, the Red Raider football team of Coffee County Middle School headed to Rhea County.  The Red Raiders, who have been close in both their match-ups this year, missed a 2 point conversion with 40 seconds to go in the game to send it to overtime.  In overtime, Rhea County got the winning score to drop Coffee County 12 to 6. The Temple Baptist Christian School volleyball team hosted their first home game of the year on Tuesday night.  Welcoming Dogwood Christian to the E.C. Bailey Gym, the Lady Eagles claimed a straight set win.  Temple won by set scores of 25 to 15, 25 to 5 and 25 to 8. The Nashville Sounds’ offense never got going in a 2-0 loss to the Round Rock Express Tuesday night at Dell Diamond. Nashville’s 10-game road trip started with a thud as the offense produced only three hits – all singles. The Lady Raider volleyball team of Coffee County Middle School returned to conference play on Monday as they welcomed South Franklin to the CCMS gym.  The Lady Raiders were coming off a pair of season opening losses as they looked for their first win.  Coffee Middle got that win in straight sets by set scores of 25-10 and 25-17. The Temple Baptist Christian School volleyball team opened the season in East Tennessee this past week-end.  The Lady Eagles took part in the Crown College Tournament in Powell on Friday and Saturday.  The Lady Eagles advanced to Saturday’s finals before falling and finishing in 2nd place.
