Finishing up a week of road games, the Coffee County CHS volleyball team visited Smyrna on Saturday to compete in the Stewarts Creek Invitational.  The Lady Raiders went 1 and 3 on the day in the tournament.  Coffee County captured a come from behind 2 set to 1 win over LaVergne. Westwood Volleyball Closes Out Season at Warren County Tournament

The Westwood volleyball team closed out their inaugural season with a tournament in McMinnville on Saturday.  Fielding 2 teams for the one day tournament, the Lady Rockets played some of their best volleyball of the year against the strongest competition they have faced this season. Hitting the road to take on their arch-rival Minutemen of Franklin Road Christian School, the Temple Baptist Christian School volleyball team visited Murfreesboro on Saturday.  The Lady Eagles got off to a fast start as they won the first 2 sets.  Franklin Road rallied back to sweep the last 3 sets and grab the 3 to 2 victory.  Temple fell by set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 22-25, 13-25 and 11-15. Traveling to Winchester on Saturday, the Coffee County Youth Football League played a triple header at Franklin County.  The Raider teams came away with 2 wins in their 3 games on the day. What a gut-check win for quarterback Marcus Mariota, and the Tennessee Titans. The Titans beat the Jaguars 9-6 on Sunday on a day when Mariota stepped in, and the defense rose to the occasion.
