The Westwood Middle School soccer team traveled to Wartrace on Monday to open up play in the CTSC postseason tournament. The Lady Rockets took on the Cascade Lady Champions with a berth in Friday’s quarterfinals on the line. Four second half goals by Cascade ended the Lady Rockets season as they fell 5 to 0. Coffee County Golf Opens State Tournament on Tuesday
The Coffee County Central High School golf team will begin play in the 2018 TSSAA Large Division State Tournament on Tuesday. For the 2nd straight year, the Red Raiders won the region tournament and punched their ticket to the tournament which is held annually at Willowbrook. Coffee County Youth Bass Club Opened Season on Saturday
The Coffee County Youth Bass Club opened their fall season on Saturday when they competed in the Tennessee Bass Nation High School and Youth Division Tournament on Nickajack Lake. In the biggest tournament in the history of the Tennessee Bass Nation, six Coffee County high school boats competed in the field of 188 boats. Coffee Middle’s Greenlee Woods Qualifies for Cross Country State Meet
The Coffee County Middle School cross country team traveled to Murfreesboro on Saturday to compete in the TMSAA sectional at Riverdale. Competing for berths in the TMSAA state meet coming up in October, nine Raider runners took part in the 2 mile run. Greenlee Woods ran the race in 13:40.61 to earn her 2nd straight state meet berth.
