Coffee Middle 6th Grade Basketball Season Opens on Tuesday

The Coffee County Middle School 6th grade basketball teams will open their 2018 season on Tuesday night.   Both 6th grade teams are on the road on Tuesday but as they travel to different destinations.  The Lady Raiders travel to Wartrace to take on Cascade.  The Red Raiders head to Tullahoma to play West.  Both games will get underway at 6 PM. Red Raider Football Falls to Lebanon

Hitting the road to begin a 3 week road trip, the Red Raider football team traveled to take on Lebanon on Friday night.  In a game you heard here on Thunder Radio, the Red Raider offense had trouble against the talented Blue Devils.  Lebanon was able to bottle up the Raiders as they raced to a 49 to 7 win. Coffee County Youth Bass Club Teams Sweep Tournament Titles on Saturday

Coffee County Youth Bass Club returned to the water on Saturday as they traveled to fish at Old Hickory Lake.  Both high school and junior division teams were in action in the regional tournament.  The Raider anglers captured the tournament titles for each division. The in high school division, the Raider team of Colby Thurmond and Jacob Garms for the tournament beating out 73 other competing teams.  Colby and Jacob landed 5 fish weighing in at 8.08 pounds.  The team of Isaiah Owens and Garrett Davis ended up in 37th place while the team of Branson and Dawson Wells...

Manchester Youth Football League Closes Out Regular Season

The Manchester Youth Football League wrapped their regular season schedule on Saturday hosting Marshall County on Homecoming.  All 3 Red Raider teams were in action as each team selected a player and a cheerleader for their King and Queen respectively.  The day also served as Breast Cancer Awareness day as each team wore pink socks and the cheerleaders wore pink shirts and used pink pom-poms.  Thunder Radio was on hand to record each of the contests. Woods Places 12th in State Cross Country Meet

Making her 2nd appearance at the TMSAA state cross country meet, Greenlee Woods barely missed the medal stand.  Competing as a 7th grader for the Coffee County Middle School cross country, Woods completed the 2 mile course on Saturday with a time of 14:13.8.  Autumn Headrick of John Sevier Middle School won the race as she clocked a time of 13:10.9.  Woods was 7 seconds out of the top 10 and 14 seconds shy of the medal stand in the race.  The state championship meet is held in Clarksville, Tennessee on the property of the Hilldale Family Life Center...
