The Coffee County Middle School basketball team opened the season at home on Monday night when they welcomed West Tullahoma to the CCMS Gym. Westwood Middle Basketball Drops Pair in Home Opener
The Westwood basketball team welcomed Huntland to the Joel Vinson Gym on Monday night. Playing in their first home game of the year before a capacity crowd in the newly remodeled Joel Vinson Gym, both Rocket teams fell in the conference doubleheader. The Lady Rockets lost 36 to 23 while the Rockets lost 61 to 26. Lady Bucks Win First TCCAA/Region VII Soccer Championship
Tournament MVP Alexandra Rouse scored the game-winning goal, her second of the game, just past the 71-minute mark to lead the Motlow State Community College Lady Bucks to a 3-2 victory over Southwest Tennessee and the TCCAA/Region VII Tournament championship Friday afternoon at St. George’s School in Collierville. Motlow (11-4-2) advances to the NJCAA Central District Tournament, to be held in Godfrey, Illinois beginning Nov. 1. Coffee County Youth Bass Club Anglers Fish Dale Hollow on Saturday
The Coffee County Youth Bass Club sent 2 boats to the state trail event on Saturday at Dale Hollow Lake. Competing against a field of 140 other boats, the Raider anglers braved cold, rainy conditions to capture a pair of fish. The team of Colby Thurmond and Jacob Garms ended up in 21st place with a 2 fish total catch weighing in at 3.95 pounds. Red Raider Basketball Alumni Game is Saturday
The annual Coffee County Red Raider Alumni Basketball Game will be held on Saturday at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym. The game is scheduled to tip off at 6 PM and the public is urged to come out and attend. The event will be a fund-raiser for the Red Raiders and cost of admission is $2 but donations above and beyond that are welcome. Closing out the regular season at home, the Coffee County Red Raider football team finished the 2018 season with a win.
