Too little, too late. The Nashville Predators rallied in the third period, but they were unable to overcome a slow start as they fell to the Florida Panthers by a 4-2 final on Saturday night. Coffee County CHS wrestling team traveled to Wartrace on Friday night for a non-region duals match with Cascade.  The Red Raiders swept the 6 highest weight classifications to capture the 67 to 18 win. The Coffee County Middle School basketball teams closed out the regular season on the road on Thursday night.  Traveling to Shelbyville to take on Harris, the Raiders and Lady Raiders roared to a pair of lopsided wins over the Eagles.  The Lady Raiders won 31 to 8 while the Red Raiders scored a 37 to 12 victory. The Coffee County Claybusters opened the 2019 portion of their season on Saturday with an ATA Individual Shoot at Highland Rim Shooters Club in Tullahoma.  The Claybusters captured 5 of the 8 titles handed out on the day.  Colter Smith won the High Overall Shooter award.  Tucker Carlton captured the Junior Category title and Brayden Davenport won the Sub-Junior category.  Alexus Stacey captured the top spot in the Lady Category and Dylan Hickerson won the top spot among Class D shooters. Voice of the Preds Named 2018 Tennessee Sportscaster of the Year

He’s done it again. For the sixth time in his career, radio play-by-play announcer and Voice of the Predators, Pete Weber, has been named the Tennessee Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association. Weber shares the 2018 honor with Dawn Davenport of KGFX-FM in Nashville. Weber, who has been with the Preds franchise since Day One, also received the accolade in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
