The Coffee County Middle School softball team traveled to Sparta on Wednesday afternoon for a conference tilt with White County.  The Lady Raiders once again jumped out to an early lead and powered to a conference sweep over the Warriorettes.  Coffee County won by a final score of 6 to 3. Taking on Warren County for the 2nd straight night, Coffee County’s CHS baseball team traveled to McMinnville on Wednesday night for a 10 inning scrimmage.  The Red Raiders played error free baseball and got a great performance from their pitchers as they rolled to an 8 to 3 win. The Red Raider basketball team opened the Region 4AAA Tournament on Tuesday night at home against Riverdale.  The regular season District 8AAA champions welcomed the regular season 7AAA district champions in a quarterfinal matchup in a win or go home battle.   After leading through 3 quarters, Coffee County saw Riverdale rally to capture the 53 to 47 win over the Red Raiders. After a thrilling overtime win on Monday night, the Coffee County Lady Raider basketball team moved into Tuesday night’s semifinal at Murfreesboro.  Taking on the Riverdale Lady Warriors who are nationally ranked and the number #1 team in the state, the Lady Raiders fought the Lady Warriors to the very end before falling in the game.  Coffee County saw their season come to an end by a final score of 57 to 48. The Westwood baseball team opened their 2019 campaign at home on Tuesday welcoming Riverside Christian to Looney Riddle Field.  The Rocket pitchers combined for 12 strikeouts and held Riverside to 1 hit over 5 innings to lead Westwood to the 11 to 1 win. The Coffee County Middle School baseball team opened their regular season at home on Tuesday night as they welcomed White County to the CCMS field.  Raider pitchers Jacob Holder and Jack Anderson combined for a 2 hit shutout as Coffee Middle opened the season with a 9 to 0 win.
