Johansen Tallies Winner Again as Preds Top Wild in Another Shootout
Ryan Johansen fooled them twice. Minnesota tied it late, but Nashville prevailed in the shootout again as the Predators defeated the Wild by a 5-4 final on Tuesday night at Bridgestone Arena. The result gives the Preds a sweep of their home-and-home set with Minnesota, the second time Nashville has topped Minnesota in a shootout in as many tries. Coffee County Claybusters Have Record Breaking Performance on Saturday
The Coffee County Claybusters once again posted another dominant performance on Saturday at Big Springs in Christiana. Competing against more than 120 shooters, a program record 11 different Claybusters captured hardware as individual winners. Additionally, all 3 Claybuster teams won their respective class at the ATA/AIM shooting event. The Claybusters Team #1 won the Junior Division with the high overall score of 475 outdistancing 2nd place Middle Tennessee Christian by 19 clays. Coffee County CHS Names Athletes of the Month
The Coffee County Central High School athletic department has partnered with Jiffy Burger restaurant to acknowledge the hard work and dedication that our student-athletes put into their sports. At the end of each month, each in-season head coach will be able to submit the name of one athlete who had a standout performance and demonstrated excellent leadership during that month. The Coffee County CHS baseball team welcomed Central Magnet to Powers Field on Saturday for a scrimmage. Using the opportunity to play all of their players, the Raiders and Tigers squared off in a 15 inning contest. Coffee County used a late inning rally to capture a 9 to 6 win. The Coffee County Youth Bass Club braved some cold temperatures on Tims Ford Lake on Saturday. Seven high school teams and a junior division team represented the Raider anglers well on the day. Coffee County came home with top 5 finishes in each division. The junior angler team of Kylan Mantooth and Lance Marcom continued their strong season as they came home in 2nd place.
