Westwood Golf Falls to Fayetteville on Tuesday
The Westwood Middle School golf team traveled to Fayetteville on Tuesday to tangle with the Fayetteville Middle School Tigers. The undermanned Rockets battled hard with the Tigers before falling 9 to 3. Westwood got 1 ½ flags from the team of Araya Hayes and Marli Miller. Opening up another busy week of action, the Coffee County CHS softball team traveled to Winchester on Monday. Taking on district rival Franklin County, the Lady Raiders banged out 14 hits to get the season sweep over the Rebelettes. Coffee County rolled to an 11 to 0 win. In their final regular season match of the year, the Coffee County CHS tennis traveled to Columbia on Monday. The Red Raiders capped off their perfect regular season as they swept Columbia 7 to 0. The Lady Raiders matched the Red Raiders on the day as they shut out the Lady Lions 7 to 0. Hitting the road for their final regular season match of the year, the Coffee County Middle School soccer team visited Winchester on Monday night. Taking on North Franklin in a game moved from last Friday, the Raiders used 3 second half goals to capture a 4 to 1 win.
