STATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: Raiders open play March 16, tickets on sale now
Coffee County Central’s magical basketball season continues in the TSSAA State Basketball Tournament next week. Coffee County (24-9 overall) will open the tournament at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 against the Indians of Dobyns-Bennett High School (30-6) out of Kingsport. The game will be played at MTSU’s Murphy Center. Tickets will be available at the gate but can also be purchased in advance through gofan.co. If you want your tickets to the state sectional basketball game Monday – you may want to go ahead and purchase them now to make sure you have a seat. Major League Baseball’s all-time hits leader is making a return visit to Manchester. Pete Rose will be at Al White Ford Lincoln from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 16. First two series of MLB season cancelled with no CBA in place
Tuesday’s deadline for a new collective bargaining agreement passed without a deal between Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association, as the players voted to reject the league’s final proposal before 5 p.m. ET.
