The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club returns to First Tennessee Park on Thursday, July 11 to begin a four-game homestand. The Sounds begin the unofficial second half of the season against the New Orleans Baby Cakes from July 11-14. Coffee County Football Gets First Action of Summer on Tuesday
The Coffee County Central High School football team traveled to Ooltewah Tuesday for their first 7 on 7 football scrimmage action of the summer. The Red Raiders were playing seven-on-seven for the first time in five years. Head coach Doug Greene was pleased with the effort of his team but admited that his team needs experience in “decision-making and footwork.” The Red Raiders played four games in the seven-man format which does not use interior lineman. The Coffee County Lady Raider softball team welcomed Cannon County and Rockvale to Terry Floyd Field on Tuesday night for a scrimmage triple header. With several starters and key contributors unavailable, the Lady Raiders struggled with consistency. Coffee County split their contests with Cannon County and Rockvale. Red Raider Basketball Skills Camp Schedule is Next Week
Coffee County Central High School Red Raider basketball coach Micah Williams announces the 2019 Kid’s Skills Camp. The camp will be held on July 15th through the 18th at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym. The camp will run from 9 AM to noon each day and cost for the camp is $50 per camper. The Coffee County Red Raider football team has a busy first week back following the mandatory TSSAA Dead Period. The Red Raiders will load the buses and travel to Ooltewah on Tuesday for a 9 AM 7 on 7 scrimmage event. On Wednesday, Coffee County will travel to Lynchburg to take on Moore County in an 8 AM 7v7 workout with the Blue Raiders. Al White Ford/Lincoln Teams Up with Coffee County Football for Fund Raising Event
Al White Ford/Lincoln, in conjunction with Lincoln Motor Company, hosted a Driven to Give Event to benefit the Coffee County Central High School football team. The event, which was held on April 27th, earned $7,800 for the Red Raiders. A check was presented to the team at a ceremony in the Al White showroom on Monday. Al White Ford/Lincoln raised over $75,000 last school year for schools and teams through test drive events like this one with both Ford and Lincoln. Tennessee Football Announces Fan Day for August 4th
Head Coach Jeremy Pruitt and the Tennessee Volunteer football team invite fans to meet the Vols inside Neyland Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 4, for “Fan Day,” which will feature an open practice followed by an autograph session. Admission and parking are free for the event.
