The Manchester Makos swim program completed their 2019 summer meet season on Saturday to cap off another phenomenal year. The Makos won their 5th consecutive Summer Race League Championship on Saturday. The Championship featured 10 swim teams from the region. The Coffee County Raiders 10U baseball team posted a 6 and 0 record this past weekend to capture the Tennessee Youth Baseball Association Recreation division state title. The Raiders were a perfect 3 and 0 in pool play on Friday and Saturday. They finished off their championship run with 3 straight wins on Sunday to claim the title. Al White Ford/Lincoln, in conjunction with Lincoln Motor Company, hosted a Driven to Give Event to benefit a pair of Westwood athletic teams. The event, which was held in May, earned money for the Lady Rocket volleyball team and the Rocket soccer team. New Orleans offense came up big in Sunday’s series finale, scoring four runs in the fifth and three runs in the sixth to ultimately beat Nashville 9-3.
