Lady Raider Basketball to Host Thursday Scrimmage

The Coffee County Central High School Lady Raider basketball team will host a scrimmage game against Richard Hardy Memorial of South Pittsburg on Thursday.  The game is the first scrimmage action of the fall for the Lady Raiders and the public is encouraged to come and watch the Lady Raiders in action.  The game is set to get underway at 5 PM at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym. Coffee County will travel to Spring Hill on Saturday, November 16th to participate in a scrimmage play day at Summit.  The Lady Raiders will play East Hickman, Beech and Eagleville. ...

Red Raider Basketball Invites Public to Open Practice on November 15

The Coffee County Central High School Red Raider basketball team will host an open practice on Friday night, November 15th, at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym.  The practice will get underway at 5:30 PM as Coach Williams will be “mic’d up” for the duration of the practice as he leads his team through drills before ending with a controlled scrimmage.  Admission is free and folks are invited to stay after practice to eat with the team.  The Red Raiders will take part in a scrimmage playday on Saturday, November 9th at Rockvale.  The Red Raiders will take on...

CCMS Basketball Opens Rockvale Tournament with a Split Against Siegel

Channah Gannon of CCMS basketball The Coffee County Middle School basketball teams opened up play in the Rockvale Tournament on Tuesday night.  Each team had a first round matchup with Siegel Middle.  The Lady Raiders won their matchup 35 to 20.  The Red Raiders fell by a score of 25 to 20. Claybusters Open Season with Strong Showing

The Coffee County Claybusters opened the 2019-2020 season on Saturday in an AIM team shoot at Big Springs in Christiana.  Four Claybuster squads competed on the day and 2 of those team captured titles in their respective classes.  In individual competition, the Claybusters grabbed 3 individual championships and 4 runner-up finishes. Also on Tuesday, the Titans placed cornerback Malcolm Butler on Injured Reserve. Butler suffered a wrist injury in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers after landing on the arm after defending a pass. Smith has played in four games this season, and he was on the roster up until Saturday, when he was waived to make room for defensive back Joshua Kalu. Kailee Rossman of WMS basketball The Westwood basketball teams traveled to Irving College on Monday for a conference doubleheader with the Tigers of Irving College.  The Lady Rockets fought off foul trouble to get a 32 to 15 win.  The Rockets’ offense exploded for a 53 to 36 win. CCMS Basketball Sweeps South Franklin on Monday Night
