The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association released its proposed region realignment overnight Wednesday, Nov. 4. If the proposal is accepted and approved next week, Coffee County Central will be in completely new regions and districts for almost every sport – including football, where Coffee County will get away from most of the powerhouse Murfreesboro schools. In football, Coffee County would be Region 3-6A with Cookeville High School, Lebanon High School, Shelbyville Central High School and Warren County High School. Westwood’s Rockets went on the road Thursday and returned home with an impressive 39-28 win over Harris Middle out of Shelbyville. The Rockets picked up production out of eight different players, but used Jayden Carter in the post to make the difference. Carter finished with 12 points. The Titans on Tuesday released cornerback Johnathan Joseph and long snapper Beau Brinkley. Also on Tuesday, the team notified outside linebacker Vic Beasley that he will be released on Wednesday. Beasley played in five games for the Titans this season after playing previously with the Falcons. In those five games he’s been credited with three tackles and a forced fumble.
