Veteran sports broadcaster Scott Shasteen has been named Sports Director of our sister station WHMT radio in Tullahoma. Station General Manager Deuce Anderson made the announcement this morning from the station’s studio inside Northgate Mall. Four Motlow College student-athletes were recently named as 2012 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Exemplary Academic Achievement Honorees. Baseball players Shaw Dickerson from Dyersburg, Zach White from Lawrenceburg, and Jacob Honea from Tullahoma were joined by softball player Morgan Hemmingsen from Woodlawn. The NJCAA awards student-athletes each year for academic achievement. The Exemplary Academic Achievement award goes to student-athletes with a grade-point average between 3.60 – 3.79 based on a 4.00 scale. The Second Annual Colors of Cancer 5K Run & Family Walk was held Saturday June 23 2012 at the Manchester Recreation Center.
