Motlow Update

The Motlow Lady Bucks handed new head coach Aaron Holland his first victory while enjoying the sixth-largest win in school history as they traveled to Dayton, Tenn. and beat the Bryan College team 89-41 Friday night in their season opener.
The domination was complete from start to finish for Motlow as they jumped out to a 41-18 lead at intermission. Every player on the roster scored and every player got at least one rebound.
Freshman Chelsey Wiseman had a double-double in her first collegiate contest, leading the team with 15 points, 14 rebounds and five steals. Wiseman added four assists and a blocked shot to her impressive stat sheet.
Joining her in double figure scoring was sophomore Presley Owen with 14 points, Kinashia Russell with 12, and LaShaundra Rice with 10.

The Motlow Bucks turned a seven point halftime lead into a 34 point rout as they opened the 2012-13 basketball season with a 96-62 win over the Bryan College Lions in Dayton, Tenn., Friday night.
The Bucks will open Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) play this Friday when they host defending conference champion Columbia State at 8 pm, women’s game at 6pm at Copperweld Arena.
The home game weekend will continue on Saturday, Nov. 10, with Jackson State scheduled to visit for a 4 p.m. tipoff, women’s game at 2pm. Saturday’s contest will be broadcast live on our sister station WHMT radio at 105.1 FM, 740AM, TullahomaRadio.com, and LightTUBe channel 11.
Sophomore Sean Gardner led the Bucks with 24 points, including six of nine from behind the three-point line, with most coming in the second half. Gardner connected on nine of his 13 total shots, dished out three assists, and pulled down three rebounds.
Sophomore Michael Tomlin and freshman Perrin Buford joined Gardner in double figure scoring. Tomlin hit all six of his field goal attempts and finished with 12 points and three rebounds. Buford scored 10 points in his first game as a Buck, and also added four assists, seven rebounds, and a pair of steals.
